Overview

Fergus offers a convenient option to re-enable users who were previously disabled. This feature is particularly helpful when staff members return to the company or if an administrator inadvertently disables a user. In this article, we will explore the process of re-enabling a disabled user.

Re-Enabling a Disabled User

If you are an administrator or have the necessary permissions, you can re-enable a disabled user in just a few simple steps:

  1. Go to ⚙ Settings > Users.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Show Disabled Users."

  3. Click on the user you would like to enable.

  4. Click on the three dots in the upper right side of the page.

  5. Select "Disable" from the drop-down menu.

  6. A window will appear with details. Click "Accept."

Please note: you will be charged for the user you have enabled until the end of the month, even if you disable the user before then.

Once the user has been re-enabled, they will be able to log in to their account and access all of their previous data and settings.

Locked Out Users

To safeguard our community and enhance security, any user who remains inactive for over 90 days will be automatically designated as dormant, and their account will be locked. This proactive policy is essential in preventing outdated, dormant, and disabled accounts from being exploited for spamming or scamming. By taking these steps, we help protect all users and maintain a safer online environment.

If a user cannot access their account after 90 days of inactivity, please contact our support team to restore access at:

Conclusion

Restoring access for a disabled user in Fergus is straightforward and can be easily handled by any administrator or authorised personnel. However, if an account has been locked for over 90 days, the user will need to contact our support team for reactivation. To safeguard your organisation’s data and uphold security and privacy, it is crucial to routinely review and manage user accounts. Taking these proactive steps protects your information and ensures a seamless experience for all users.
