Release Notes 2025
Discover the latest features, exciting improvements, and essential bug fixes that Fergus has done.
Release Notes February 2025
New Features
We have introduced invoice-level payment control, allowing users to toggle Fergus Pay for individual invoices. This update is available on the web, with a mobile version in development.
We're expanding our email-first sign-up to desktop users. Visitors to the Fergus sign-up page will see a screen that only asks for their email. After entering it, they'll proceed to the two-step sign-up flow with their email pre-filled.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Dragging a job into the calendar and resizing it no longer causes duplicates.
Short events, such as 1-hour bookings, no longer overlap in the horizontal week view. They now display side by side, providing a better view of the schedule.
When weekends are hidden in the calendar, users will be unable to select Saturday or Sunday. If the calendar is accessed on a non-business day, it will automatically redirect them to the next working day.
The preferences for displaying or hiding non-business hours will now be saved even after logging in and out.
Customers have noted that the weekly calendar view only allows navigation by 2 days or 1 week, which complicates focusing on specific days. We've updated this feature to enable navigation by 1 day for a more intuitive experience.
Fixed an issue where the job page would not load jobs completed by a previously disabled employee
Fergus Go v2.2.0 is available now!
In this Update we’ve released the following changes:
We fixed an issue that prevented users from completing certificates in Fergus Go when they didn't have a company logo. Now, certificates can be completed without a logo, matching the functionality in Fergus Web.
We received reports that large image uploads from Fergus Go limited the number of attachments users could send in emails. We have now reduced the image size while maintaining clarity.
Previously, users of Fergus Go were not notified about scheduling conflicts, leading to potential double-booking of employees. Now, they receive alerts for any conflicts, helping them make better scheduling decisions.
Users can now edit a grouped custom event for all assigned employees or just one, matching the Fergus web's flexibility.

New Calendar Features
Users can now hide non-business days and hours in the calendar settings. This improvement allows for a better weekly view by eliminating Saturdays, Sundays, and non-business hours, enabling you to see more days and job details at a glance.
Users can now schedule events in the unassigned column or row of the calendar to tentatively book work before assigning it to a technician. Instead of dragging and dropping, you can create unassigned events by leaving the employee field blank in the event drawer.
Events can be easily reassigned from an assigned employee or group by deselecting them in the pop-up or event drawer, which will automatically move the event to the unassigned column for rescheduling.
We have implemented duration indicators that appear when you hover over the event card, directly addressing customer requests and enhancing the user experience.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
The calendar’s “Next” and “Previous” buttons now skip non-working days, making navigation more intuitive.
Filters and sorting applied to the staff list are now saved to user preferences. This means your customised views remain intact when navigating away from the calendar.
Fixed an issue where some users were unable to navigate away from the calendar, causing it to reload continuously.
Resolved an issue where the edit event drawer for recurring events would flicker unexpectedly.
Users scheduling from a job card will now see the entire workday from 8 AM to 4 PM in the horizontal day view. This change eliminates frustration and significantly reduces scrolling.
Fergus Go v2.1.0 is available now!
In this Update we’ve released the following changes:
We have introduced a new setting that allows users to select their preferred navigation app for opening location links. If a user opens a location link without choosing a preferred app, the app they used will be remembered as their preferred choice for future use.
Fergus Go now respects locked time entries and its associated permissions.
Users are now prompted to create an invoice to come after completing a Purchase Order. This prompt will appear whenever a Purchase Order is successfully created.
We’ve added the name of the user's company to the menu header so that users can confirm they are logged in to the correct account.
We’ve updated the order of Tools in the Job and Job Phase screens with the intent of making more commonly used functions easier to find.
We’ve added options to the menu of the Job screen to allow users to create Job Phases or Variations from there.
