Overview
You can arrange automatic invoice reminders that are sent via SMS, email, or both when an invoice is overdue.
Getting Started
Here is how to set up invoice reminders:
Navigate to your profile icon next to Help (?). Then, click on ⚙ Settings.
Scroll down to Reminders.
In the invoice, ensure that SMS, Email, or both reminders are enabled.
Select the frequency at which you want the reminders to be sent to your customer.
While an invoice remains unpaid, SMS/Email reminders will be sent according to the frequency you have set in the Reminders Settings.
Below are the options you can choose from:
On the day after the approval
On the due date
1 day overdue
5 days overdue
7 days overdue
10 days overdue
14 days overdue
21 days overdue
28 days overdue
42 days overdue
Disabling Invoice Reminders for a Particular Customer
To turn off SMS and email reminders for specific customers, select 'Disable Invoice Reminders' in their customer settings. Navigate to 'Customers' on the navigation bar, choose the customer you’d like to edit, and click the pencil icon button:
Invoice Reminder Template
With this feature, you can change or update the reminder email or SMS that will be sent to your customers. This allows you to personalise the messages to better suit your business.
Here is how to edit the reminder templates:
Email Settings Instructions:
Click on the Email Settings button at the top of the reminder page.
You will be directed to the email settings page. From there, navigate to the Email Template section.
In this section, you will find various email templates for editing.
Select the template titled "Send Invoice Reminder to Customer".
Make your desired updates to the template, and be sure to click "Save" to apply the changes.
SMS Settings:
Click on the SMS Settings button at the top of the reminder page.
You will be directed to the SMS settings page. From there, navigate to the Template section.
In this section, you will find various SMS templates for editing.
Select the "Invoice reminder" or "Overdue invoice reminder" template.
Make your desired updates to the template, and be sure to click "Save" to apply the changes.
