Fergus gives your business the flexibility to select different user types that fit your needs. The timesheet user type is made for on-site staff members who need straightforward access to essential job information and time tracking features. It offers the convenience they require while maintaining necessary limitations compared to full user permissions. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at what a timesheet user can do.

Timesheet User

This user type is ideal for employees who need to track their hours worked, breaks taken, and other relevant information using the Fergus Go app. As a timesheet user, you will have access to your timesheet to log the hours you work each day. A timesheet user in Fergus will have access to the following features:

  • View and complete your timesheets

  • Add uncharged time for non-job-related tasks (e.g., meetings, workshop tasks)

  • Ability to view job card information for assigned jobs

  • View files and photos related to jobs

  • Access to the Notice Board and relevant notifications

  • Add job-related hazard information to assign jobs

  • See and complete the checklists attached to job phases

  • Access the calendar to view upcoming events

  • Read-only access to Files & Photos and Notes & History

  • Timesheet users can fill out forms only after the forms are attached to a job phase assigned to them.

These features allow you to efficiently manage your time entries and stay informed about your work schedule.

Please note: Time sheet users cannot upload photos or files to the job card; they can only view them.

Timesheet User Permissions

When a new timesheet user account is created, the Account Administrator must activate it and edit user permissions. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Click on the profile icon in the top right corner to access the Settings menu.

  2. From the menu on the left, select Users.

  3. Click on the Timesheet user whose permissions you want to modify.

  4. Go to the Permissions tab.

  5. Click on the Edit Permissions button in the top right corner.

  6. Tick the permissions you would like

  7. Once satisfied with the changes, click "Update Permissions" in the bottom-right corner.
