Inviting a new user to Fergus is an efficient and straightforward process. To ensure that everyone who needs to log their time or be scheduled for jobs can access the system, each individual must have their own login. In this article, we'll guide you through the easy steps to invite a user to Fergus.
Add a New User
To add a user, head to β Settings > Users and click the Add New User button in the top right.
You'll be asked to fill in the details for the new user
After entering all the new user details, you can choose how you want to invite them to log in to Fergus. To ensure a smooth onboarding experience, you can select to send the invitation via email or SMS.
Send Email Invitation: To send an email invitation to the user, please tick the box for "Send user an Email invitation" before you hit Save.
Send SMS Invitation: To send an SMS invitation to the user, ensure the phone number has been added. Then, you can simply tick the box for Select Send user an SMS invitation before hitting Save.
Once you click save, the user will receive an email, SMS, or both, allowing them to set up their account password with the pre-filled login email.
Please note: Email is always required to create an account.
Send User Invite from User Profile
If you forgot to send an invitation to set up a user account or wish to resend an invite, follow these steps:
Go to β Settings > Users.
Click on the user you would like to invite.
Click the "Invite User to Fergus" button located on the far-right side of the screen.
You can send invitations via Email, SMS, or both by selecting your preferred option. You will then be prompted to confirm your email and/or phone number. Once this information is confirmed, you can click send.
