Overview

Learn how to guarantee the delivery of your important Fergus emails to clients without being flagged as spam. Understand the rules behind spam filters and troubleshoot delivery issues.

What Causes Emails to Land in Spam or Junk

Emails often end up in spam or junk folders due to various reasons:

  1. Spam filters may flag emails with certain content elements, such as specific words, phrases, or attachments, that are commonly associated with spam.

  2. Subject lines that are deceptive or misleading can contribute to emails being treated as spam.

  3. If the sender's IP address or domain is on a blacklist, it increases the likelihood of their emails being routed to spam folders.

  4. Emails that consistently receive low engagement (few opens or clicks) may be considered less valuable by spam filters.

While adhering to best practices can significantly enhance email deliverability, it's crucial to acknowledge that spam filters, though effective, are not flawless. Despite meticulous compliance, occasional false positives may occur, leading legitimate emails to be inadvertently flagged by these filters
