Overview

In Fergus, you can record incidents using both the desktop and Fergus Go app. This guide explains how to log incidents from the desktop version.

Accessing the Incidents Section

  1. Go to the Health & Safety tab via quick actions on your Fergus home screen.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Incidents.

Creating a New Incident

  1. Click New Incident in the top-right corner.

  2. Fill out the incident form with the following details:

    • Title – A clear, descriptive name for the incident.

    • Type – Specify whether it was a Near Miss or an Accident.

    • Attendees – Record everyone involved or present.

    • Date – Set the date of the incident.

  3. Add a detailed description of what happened.

The more specific you are, the more useful the report will be for future reference.

  4. At the bottom, drag and drop photos related to the incident.
Add as many as needed — visual evidence can be crucial for follow-up or review.

Important Notes

  • Incidents are not linked to specific jobs.
If the situation relates to a particular job, use the Hazards section within the Job Card instead.

  • See our Hazards Help Guide for more information on recording job-specific issues.

Summary

The Incidents section helps you keep accurate safety records, maintain compliance, and ensure your team stays informed. By logging incidents promptly and thoroughly, you’re helping create a safer workplace for everyone.
