Overview

On your Status Board, you might notice a yellow section in each column.

This section is where jobs with internal queries appear, flagged by team members when something needs clarification or review.

Query flags are a simple way to highlight questions and keep everyone on the same page.

Note: You can only create queries and resolve them via Fergus Web at this stage.

Quotes

When preparing a quote, you’ll see a red flag icon at the top of your draft. This icon is consistent throughout Fergus and always represents a query.

If you have a question or need input on a quote:

  1. Click the red flag.

  2. Add a query note describing the issue or question.

The job will then move to the yellow section of its current column (usually the Pricing column during quoting).

Job Cards

Inside a Job Card, you’ll find the same red flag in the top-right corner. Clicking it allows you to add a query directly from the job view.

Just like before, the job will automatically shift into the yellow section of the Status Board, clearly showing that something needs attention.

Invoices

When working on an invoice draft, open the three dots (⋯) menu in the top-right corner. You’ll find the query flag option there.

Click it to raise a query if the invoice needs review before sending.

Conclusion

Query flags make it easy to raise questions, request feedback and ensure clarity before moving jobs forward. They help teams spot issues early and keep communication organised — all without leaving Fergus.
