Fergus Go's invoicing and payment system allows you to seamlessly transition from job completion to payment collection in just a few taps. This integrated approach combines automatic invoice generation with contactless payment processing, enabling you to create professional invoices filled with job costs and collect payment immediately on-site.
Getting started
The Quick Invoice feature in Fergus Go streamlines your invoicing process by automatically pulling in all job-related costs, saving you time and reducing manual entry errors.
Step 1: Open Your Job
Launch the Fergus Go app on your phone
Navigate to the job you've just completed
Step 2: Access the Invoice Tool
Scroll down to find the Invoices tool in the Job Card
Tap the + Quick Invoice button
Step 3: Review the Invoice Structure
The Invoice creation page consists of several key components:
Invoice status (e.g., Draft)
Title and description
Section title and description
Line items
Totals
Please note: For simplicity in Fergus Go, you can only create invoices with one section. If you need more complex invoices with multiple sections, use the desktop app instead. However, if you're invoicing for multiple job phases, Fergus will automatically create sections for each phase.
Step 4: Customise Your Invoice
Tap on the Title and Description or Section headers to edit their details
Tap Add a line item to search for suppliers and add additional items
Filter by different suppliers or create custom line items as needed
Fergus automatically includes existing job costs to save you time
Add any final items or adjustments
Step 5: Approve Your Invoice
Collecting Payment with Fergus Pay
Tap to Pay
Tap to Pay lets you accept payments directly on your phone while on-site with customers. No need for separate card readers or waiting for bank transfers, your customers can simply tap their card, phone, or smart device on your phone to pay instantly.
Once your invoice is approved, you'll see the Tap to Pay option
Select Tap to Pay - Fergus connects to your phone's contactless reader
Your customer taps their card, phone, or smart device on your phone

Scan to Pay
Fergus Go also features Scan to Pay for on-site credit card payments, providing another flexible payment option for your customers.
After approving your invoice, select Scan to Pay
Your customer can scan the payment code with their device
