Overview

Fergus Go's invoicing and payment system allows you to seamlessly transition from job completion to payment collection in just a few taps. This integrated approach combines automatic invoice generation with contactless payment processing, enabling you to create professional invoices filled with job costs and collect payment immediately on-site.

Getting started

You can now create invoices from quotes directly in the Fergus Go app, giving you the same flexible invoicing options available on the desktop version! To make an invoice:

  1. Open a Job in the Fergus Go app.

  2. Go to the Invoicing tab.

  3. Tap Create Invoice.

You'll be shown the following invoice options:

  • Quick invoice

  • Invoice from quote

  • Invoice a percentage of quote

  • Invoice the remainder of a quote

1) Quick Invoice

A Quick Invoice is the fastest way to Invoice in Fergus; This pulls all the un-invoiced Labour and Materials recorded against the job's phase.

2) Invoice from Quote

Use this option to invoice specific sections from a quote.

How it works:

  1. Tap Invoice from quote

  2. A list of all quote sections is shown

  3. Select one or more sections, or tap Select All to invoice the entire quote.

  4. Tap Create Invoice once the right sections are selected.

3) Invoice a Percentage of a Quote

Use this option when invoicing progress payments or deposits.

How it works:

  1. Tap Invoice a percentage of quote

  2. Enter the percentage you want to invoice (e.g. 20%)

  3. Tap Create Invoice

This will add a single combined line item to the invoice for the amount specified.

4) Invoice the Remainder of a Quote

Use this option to invoice everything left on a quote that hasn't already been invoiced.

How it works:

  1. Tap Invoice the remainder of a quote

  2. You're taken straight into the invoice - no extra steps required.

Customise Your Invoice

  • Tap on the Title and Description or Section headers to edit their details

  • Tap Add a line item to search for suppliers and add additional items

  • Filter by different suppliers or create custom line items as needed

  • Fergus automatically includes existing job costs to save you time

  • Add any final items or adjustments

Note: Combined line items cannot be edited in Fergus Go.

If a quote includes combined line items, they will remain combined on the invoice, but cannot be edited. You can delete them if needed. To combine or edit line items, use Fergus on web.

Approve Your Invoice

  1. Review all details for accuracy

  2. Tap Approve Invoice when ready
