Overview
The Ideal Electrical integration allows you to automatically import supplier invoices and price books from Ideal directly into Fergus. This helps reduce manual data entry and ensures your material costs are always up to date.
Once connected, Ideal invoices will automatically appear in Fergus so you can assign them to jobs and complete invoicing faster.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have an Ideal Electrical web account
If you don’t yet have an Ideal web account, contact your local Ideal branch to set one up.
How to Connect Ideal Electrical to Fergus
Follow these steps to connect your Ideal Electrical account.
Step 1: Log in to Fergus
Log in to your Fergus account.
Step 2: Log in to your Ideal Electrical web account and go to Integrations
Open the Ideal Electrical website and sign in to your web account.
In your Ideal web account, locate the Integrations tab in the left-hand menu.
Step 3: Select Fergus
Find the Fergus integration tile and click on it.
Step 4: Connect the integration
Click Connect.
You will be redirected to Fergus.
Step 5: Confirm the connection
Once the connection is complete, the integration status will change to Connected in Fergus. If the status does not update, refresh the page. It may take up to 10 seconds to show the connection.
What Happens After You Connect
Once connected:
Ideal invoices will automatically be imported into Fergus
Price books can be synced so you always have up-to-date supplier pricing
Supplier invoices can be assigned to jobs, helping with accurate job costing and faster invoicing.
Troubleshooting
If the integration does not connect:
Refresh the Ideal integrations page
Ensure you are logged into both Fergus and Ideal
Confirm your Ideal web account has integration access enabled

💡Tip: Once the integration is active, you no longer need to manually upload Ideal invoices into Fergus.
