Once you’ve taken a job from start to finish, it’s time to make the most of Fergus’ reporting tools. Reports give you a clear view of how your business is performing, helping you track invoices, time, costs and progress across all your jobs.
Accessing Reports
To open reports, click the Reports icon in the top-right corner of your Fergus screen. You’ll find several useful options here, but below are the reports our users rely on most.
Customer Invoice Report
The Customer Invoice Report gives you a complete view of every invoice sent from Fergus. You can quickly see the status of each invoice, whether it’s approved, sent, unpaid, partially paid or fully paid.
Use the filters in the top left to narrow your results, adjust the date range in the top right, or use the search bar to find a specific invoice. This report makes it easy to stay on top of billing and follow up on outstanding payments.
Timesheet Summary Report
The Timesheet Summary Report shows a breakdown of each employee’s working hours over a chosen period (up to 14 days).
You can filter by hour type at the top — by default, only paid hours are displayed. As with most Fergus reports, you can download it as a CSV file for your records.
Click an employee’s name to open their Timesheet Overview Report, where you’ll see a detailed breakdown of their time entries.
This report is ideal for tracking labour hours and reviewing payroll accuracy.
WIP (Work in Progress) Report
The WIP Report is one of the most powerful and flexible reports in Fergus. It helps you monitor all ongoing jobs and understand where things stand financially.
Use the filters at the top to:
Choose job types or select Custom for advanced options
Filter by job status or groups
Show or hide specific columns to customise your view
Once your filters are set, choose a date range and click Run to generate the report. You can also download it as a CSV for further analysis.
Fergus Pay Report
If you’re using Fergus Pay, you can access the Fergus Pay Report the Payments button at the top of your Fergus screen.
This report is essential for tracking transactions and payouts. Since Stripe processes payments in batches, the report shows which invoices are included in each batch, making reconciliation quick and straightforward.
Conclusion
Fergus Reports provide clear, actionable insights into your jobs, finances and team performance. Take a few minutes to explore the reports section and discover how these tools can help you make smarter, faster business decisions.
