Overview

Managing payroll can be time-consuming and complex, especially when tracking down timesheet data across multiple employees. Fergus simplifies this process with the Pay Summary Report, a centralised and easy-to-read tool that compiles all timesheet entries into one clear view. Whether you're preparing weekly payroll or auditing time entries, this report helps you stay accurate, efficient, and in control.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the Report:

    • Go to the Reports menu at the top of Fergus.

    • Select Pay Summary Report.

  2. View Employee Time Entries:

    • You'll see a list of your employees along with their time entries for the selected period.

    • By default, Fergus displays one week of data.

    • Need a different view? You can switch to:

      • Fortnightly

      • Monthly

    • Use the date range selector on the right to set a custom period.

    • Don’t forget to click Run to apply your changes!

Downloading the Report

If you need to access this data outside of Fergus:

  • Click to download the report as a CSV file for easy import into your payroll system or for offline use.

Locking and Processing Entries

On the left side of each employee's row, you’ll find controls to:

  • Lock time entries once they’re filled in, preventing further changes.

  • Mark entries as processed once payroll is complete. These are then moved to the Processed section at the bottom of the report to help you track what’s done.

  • If you need to make changes, you can also mark entries as 'Unprocessed' at any time.

Conclusions

The Pay Summary Report in Fergus is your all-in-one tool for efficient payroll processing. It organises employee timesheets into a structured report, allows for secure locking and tracking of entries, and lets you export data in just a few clicks. With this feature, you'll spend less time chasing data and more time keeping your team moving forward.
