Making the switch from GeoOp to Fergus is straightforward, and we're here to help you transition smoothly. Follow these simple steps to get your business up and running on Fergus.
Step 1: Create Your Fergus Trial Account
Start by signing up for a free Fergus trial. This gives you 14 days to explore the platform and see how it works for your business with no commitment required.
To create your account:
Visit the Fergus website and click on "Start Free Trial"
Fill in your business details
You'll receive login credentials to access your new Fergus account
Step 2: Export Your Job History and Customer List from GeoOp
Before importing your data into Fergus, you'll need to export your clients and jobs from GeoOp.
Export Your Client List
Log in to your GeoOp account
Go to the Jobs page
Click the dropdown menu in the top right corner and select Export Jobs (this will take you to the export page)
On the export page, click the blue Export button next to Clients to download your client list
Export Your Jobs
While still on the export page, locate the Jobs export section
Select a wide date range to ensure all your jobs are included
Tick the boxes to include:
Unscheduled jobs
Completed jobs
Make sure you select Export jobs by charges
Click the blue Export button to download your jobs
You should now have two CSV files downloaded: clients.csv and jobs.csv.
Step 3: Import Your Job Data to Fergus
Once you have your CSV files ready, you can import your jobs and customers into Fergus.
To import your data:
Log into your Fergus account
Click on Customers in the top navigation menu
Select the ... (more options) button in the top right corner
Click Import Customer List
Select GeoOp from the import options
Upload your CSV files and click Import
Your job history and customer data will now be available in Fergus, making it easy to pick up where you left off.
