The Job List

Job list moved to the right - We've split the staff and jobs lists into two separate drawers, moving the job list to the right side of the screen. Now, you can maximize your calendar view by collapsing either drawer as needed for a more efficient experience.

Find any active job from the list - Previously, the job list displayed only unscheduled jobs, which made it difficult to locate jobs for rescheduling. Now, the job list shows all active jobs by default—both scheduled and unscheduled—where "active" refers to jobs that are yet to be invoiced.

More filtering, sorting & searching options - Jobs are organised in chronological order, with the option to sort from oldest to newest or vice versa. We've expanded the search options to include job/job phase titles, in addition to job number, customer, and site address. We've also added additional filters to view jobs assigned to staff and groups not yet scheduled.

Staff List

Sort & re-order the staff list - By default, the staff list is sorted alphabetically by first name. You can also choose to sort it by last name or create a custom order by simply dragging and arranging staff members as needed.

The Schedule

Simply click and drag to create events - You can now simply click and drag into a free slot to create an event, setting its start time, end time, and duration all in one action. From here you can create a new job, search for an existing job or create a custom event.

Improved visibility for overlapping events - Previously, conflicting events would overlap, making it difficult to view details and make adjustments. In the updated calendar, horizontal rows now expand to display all overlapping events, while vertical views show them side by side for easier access.

Quickly assign from the event popup - Previously, editing the employees assigned to an event required several clicks. Now, with the updated calendar, you can easily assign or unassign employees directly from the event pop-up, streamlining the process.

Easily see if a job is scheduled from the pop-up - The updated calendar now shows a count of past and future events, and you can click through to the job card for full details.

Event naming has changed for clarity - Previously, event titles included customer names and site addresses, which didn’t update when those details changed on the job, leading to outdated information. Now, event titles only show the job/job phase number and title (e.g., FERG-12a Hot Water Cylinder Install). Customer and site details are still accessible in the event card, pop-up, and via Fergus Go.

Week view improvements - In the vertical week view, you can now filter by staff and groups via the drawer, allowing you to customise your view with ease. In the horizontal week view, you can now see more job details than previously and scroll horizontally to view more days in the week.

Faster load times - We've optimized the calendar’s performance to provide a smoother and more efficient scheduling experience.
