Sync your Reece invoices and price books automatically with Fergus

Written by Shine

Overview:

Keeping track of emails or paper invoices from suppliers can be challenging and time consuming for any business.

By connecting your Reece account, invoices will automatically be sent to your Fergus account and appear in Supplier Documents.

This article will cover:

  • Connecting Reece to Fergus

  • Configuring the Connection

  • Confirming the Connection

  • Setting up Automated Price Books (Australia only)

When to use it:

Connecting your Reece account can save you time on admin and paperwork associated with supplier invoices, leaving you free to concentrate on more important things.

How to use it:

Connecting Reece to Fergus

Note: In order to connect Reece to Fergus, you must have a Reece (Max) account. If you don't have one, click here if you are in Australia and here if you are in New Zealand.

Click here to log in with Reece if you're based in Australia and here if you're based in New Zealand.

Configuring the Connection:
In order to connect to Reece Plumbing, navigate to your Fergus Settings and open the Integration Centre on the navigation panel on the left.

1. Click on Reece Plumbing and then select "Get Started".

2. Select a date from which we'll import invoices from the first time you connect. All previously manually imported invoices will be ignored.

3. Click "Connect" and wait to be redirected to the Reece login screen.

4. Enter your Reece credentials and click Login.

Note: If you are already logged in to your Reece account, there will be a direct connection without having to enter your details.

5. Once the authentication is complete you will be redirected back to Fergus. You are now all set up.

Invoices and credit notes will be imported automatically and are typically available in Fergus within an hour of being made available by Reece. These can be found on the Supplier Documents page.

Confirming your Connection:

You can confirm the connection is active in Fergus by heading to Settings and on the left hand side menu select Reece. There is a status of your connection displayed next to the Reece logo.

What about Price Books?

Great question — here's what you need to know depending on your region:

🟢 Australia — Price book updates are supported! Once enabled, Reece will send your price book (CSV) to a unique Fergus email address and it will update automatically. This needs to be set up separately — see the steps below.

🟡 New Zealand — Automated price book updates are not currently supported for Reece NZ. To keep your pricing up to date, you can manually upload your Reece price book by going to Settings → Price Books and dragging and dropping your CSV file.

Setting up Automated Price Books 🇦🇺

Step 1 — Enable email ingestion in Fergus

  1. Click your profile icon (top right) and select Settings

  2. In the left menu, click Integration Centre

  3. You will see two Reece integrations available:

    • Reece Plumbing — labelled Premium Integration — use this for automatic invoice imports

    • Reece — labelled Invoicing, Price Book — use this one for automated invoice, credit, and price book updates ⬅️

  4. Select the Reece tile (Invoicing, Price Book) — click the Enable button to activate the integration. Once enabled, your unique Fergus email address will be displayed.

  5. Share your unique Fergus email address with Reece — you have two options:

    • Click "Send request to supplier" to automatically open an email template you can send directly to your Reece representative

    • Or click "Copy" to copy the email address and send it to Reece yourself, requesting they send your price book (CSV format) to that address regularly — usually monthly, but you can ask for more frequent updates

  6. For security reasons, do not share or publish this unique email address with anyone other than Reece

📧 Note: If you're already using the Reece (Invoicing, Price Book) email integration, your invoices, credits, and price book updates are all handled through that setup — you don't need to connect Reece Plumbing (Premium) as well.

Once Reece starts sending the price book to that address, Fergus will automatically capture it and update your price book records. You can check the status anytime under the Log tab in the integration settings.
