Overview
Field Stock Pro is an inventory and stock management app for trades businesses. It tracks parts from your warehouse to your vans to the job, then pushes the material cost back into Fergus. Field Stock Pro integrates with Fergus to connect job management with inventory management in a single workflow.
Field Stock Pro includes:
Warehouse + van stock: Track quantities across a central warehouse and every van.
Mobile barcode scanning: Technicians scan parts in the Field Stock Pro app to allocate stock to a Fergus job in seconds.
Auto-replenishment: Low-stock alerts and reorder suggestions.
Receiving PO stock: Receive purchase orders into a warehouse location, then move stock to the right van.
Material transfers: Move stock between locations and trace where every part has been.
Per-job material cost: Cost-of-materials reporting for each job, useful for fixed-price job profitability.
This guide walks you through connecting your Fergus account to Field Stock Pro and configuring how job and inventory data synchronises between the two systems.
How the integration works
Fergus remains the system of record for jobs and customers; Field Stock Pro manages stock counts and movements. Currently, the following data syncs between the two systems:
Fergus → Field Stock Pro: customers, jobs, items used on jobs in the last 90 days, Price Book search, and stock on hand per job.
Field Stock Pro → Fergus: stock used, so material usage recorderd in Field Stock Pro is reflected back on the Fergus job.
Setting up the Field Stock Pro Integration
Open the Integrations section: in Field Stock Pro, go to integrations from the left-hand menu.
Locate the Fergus integration card: Find Fergus in the list and click Connect to Fergus.
Choose your synchronisation direction: Before connecting, select how job line items should sync between the two systems:
Fergus → Field Stock Pro: Job line items created in Fergus are automatically imported into Field Stock Pro. Choose this if Fergus is your primary system for managing job materials and line items.
Field Stock Pro → Fergus: Inventory items and materials recorded in Field Stock Pro are pushed back to Fergus. Choose this if technicians manage inventory directly in Field Stock Pro and material usage needs to be reflected in Fergus.
(Optional) Enable Auto-deplete inventory on job close: Turn this on if you want inventory quantities to automatically reduce when a job is completed or closed, removing the need for manual inventory adjustments.
Connect and authorise: Click Connect to Fergus. You'll be redirected to Fergus, where you can securely grant Field Stock Pro access to your account.
What happens once you're connected
Once authorised, the integration status changes to Connected and synchronisation begins automatically. All open Fergus jobs from the last 90 days sync across to Field Stock Pro at that point.
To update your synchronisation settings later, click the settings⚙️ icon, make your changes, and click Save. A Disconnect button is also available if you need to disconnect the integration.
Manually syncing data
Data syncs automatically in most cases. If you notice information is missing, a sync was interrupted, or the systems were disconnected and later reconnected, you can trigger a sync manually using the two options below:
Sync products: Pulls your most recently used products from Fergus into Field Stock Pro. You can view synced products under the Products tab.
Sync jobs: Click Pull all jobs to fetch all open Fergus jobs from the last 90 days, or enter a specific job number and click Pull job to sync a single job.
Once synced, jobs and products are available in Field Stock Pro automatically, so you can manage inventory and job-related activity without re-entering data.
