Fergus

Claude is the recommended way to connect to the Fergus MCP Server. Once set up on claude.ai, the connection automatically syncs to Claude Desktop and mobile - no extra configuration needed.

A Fergus account with a user type of Full User and Master Admin permissions.

Please note: The MCP server accesses the same data as a Master Admin in Fergus. Access is restricted to users who already have those permissions. Supported Claude plans: Free (limited to 1 custom connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.

Go to <a href="https://claude.ai" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">claude.ai</a> and sign in.

Click your profile icon, select Settings, then navigate to Connectors in the sidebar.

- Alternatively, click the + button in the lower-left of the chat composer, then click the + next to Connectors.

Click Add custom connector at the bottom of the connectors list.

Enter the Fergus MCP server URL: <a href="https://mcp.fergus.com/mcp" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><code>https://mcp.fergus.com/mcp</code></a>

You'll be redirected to the Fergus login screen. Sign in with your Fergus credentials to authorise the connection

Once authorised, you'll be returned to Claude and the Fergus connector will appear in your connectors list. 

1. Go to <a href="https://claude.ai" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">claude.ai</a> and sign in.
2. Click your profile icon, select Settings, then navigate to Connectors in the sidebar. 
 - Alternatively, click the + button in the lower-left of the chat composer, then click the + next to Connectors.
3. Click Add custom connector at the bottom of the connectors list. 
4. Enter the Fergus MCP server URL: <a href="https://mcp.fergus.com/mcp" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><code>https://mcp.fergus.com/mcp</code></a>
5. Click Add
6. You'll be redirected to the Fergus login screen. Sign in with your Fergus credentials to authorise the connection
7. Once authorised, you'll be returned to Claude and the Fergus connector will appear in your connectors list.

Please Note: The connection can sometimes take a couple of mintues to become active after you first add it.

Connectors aren't automatically active in every chat. To use Fergus:

Click the + button in the lower-left of the chat composer.

Find Connectors and toggle Fergus on for this conversation.

Try "Show me the last 10 created jobs in Fergus" to confirm it's working.

Once you've added the connector on claude.ai, it automatically syncs to Claude Desktop - no separate setup needed. Just open a conversation, enable the Fergus connector using the + menu, and you're ready to go. 

If you'd prefer to set it up directly in Claude Desktop, download it from <a href="https://claude.ai/download" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">claude.ai/download</a> and add the connector via Settings → Connectors

Connector not appearing after adding? Try refreshing the page or restarting Claude Desktop.

OAuth login fails? Confirm you're using valid Fergus credentials and that your account has Full User type and Master Admin permissions.

Connection failed error? The Fergus MCP server may be temporarily unavailable. Contact Fergus support if the issue persists.

Tools not showing in conversation? Make sure you've toggled the Fergus connector on for that specific conversation using the + menu.

- Connector not appearing after adding? Try refreshing the page or restarting Claude Desktop.
- OAuth login fails? Confirm you're using valid Fergus credentials and that your account has Full User type and Master Admin permissions.
