Tasks in Fergus Go

Learn how to add, edit, complete, and manage job-linked and non-job-linked tasks in the Fergus Go app.

Accessing the Tasks Section

To view and manage your tasks:

  1. Open the Fergus Go app.

  2. Navigate to the menu in the bottom navigation bar.

  3. Tap on Tasks to access your task list.

Task Categories

Tasks are divided into two categories:

  • To Do: Tasks that are yet to be completed.

  • Completed: Tasks that have been marked as finished.

Job-Related Tasks

Tasks can be linked to a specific job, helping you track job-related responsibilities. To create a job-linked task:

  1. Open the Fergus Go app and navigate to the job.

  2. Scroll down and tap Tasks.

  3. Tap + Add and fill in the task details:

    • Description: Briefly explain what needs to be done.

    • Due Date: Set a deadline for completion.

    • Assigned Staff: Choose the team member responsible for the task.

    • Notes: Add any additional information or instructions.

The task will be linked to that job and will also appear on the desktop version of Fergus under the relevant job card.

Non-Job-Related Tasks

To create a task that is not linked to a specific job:

  1. Tap Menu in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Tap Tasks.

  3. Tap + Add and fill in the task details:

    • Description: Briefly explain what needs to be done.

    • Due Date: Set a deadline for completion.

    • Assigned Staff: Choose the team member responsible for the task.

    • Notes: Add any additional information or instructions.

Editing a Task

To edit an existing task:

  1. Tap on the task card you wish to update.

  2. You can modify the following fields:

    • Description: Change the task details if needed.

    • Due Date: Adjust the deadline.

    • Assigned Staff: Reassign the task to another team member.

    • Notes: Update or add any new information.

Marking a Task as Complete

When you complete a task, you can easily move it to the Completed section:

  1. In the To Do section, locate the task you've completed.

  2. Tap the checkbox next to the task to mark it as complete.

  3. The task will automatically move to the Completed section.
