When to use it
If you forget your password, or want to change it for security reasons, you can request to reset your password. Or, you may change your staff's password.
How to use it
Changing your own password
On the Fergus Login Page, click the Forgot Password button:
Enter the email address you signed up with and then click the Reset Password button.
If you were added to a Fergus account you may need to enter a Username instead of an email address. But if in case you do not know what it is, please contact your Office Admin.
Changing a staff member's password
A list of your Staff Members will then be displayed, and from there, click on the Name of the Staff who requires a Password Reset.
On the User's Page and under the User Details Tab, you will see the Username or Login Email Address. And, at the bottom, you may click on Reset Password.
A dialogue box will pop up and in there, you will be given options:
You can choose to send reset password link which will ask you to enter any of the user's email address. This can be different from the login username/email address.
From there, a forgot password email will be sent to the user's inbox where the user can follow the instructions to set a new password.
2. You can choose to create a temporary password. We will generate a new strong temporary password for the user, and display the password in another pop-up.
From there, you can copy the temporary password and provide this to the user. When the user is trying to login again using the temporary password, it will redirect the user to a screen to enter your new password before you can login.
